We are a small operation,
located in the North Central part of South Dakota.
Bordering the "Bad Lands" in the gentle rolling hills of the Prairie. Just a few miles down a rural gravel road, outside of a small friendly town. (We don't even have a signal light, let alone a "Wal-Mart!)
We both raise, and rescue horses. Our operation is just a little bit different than most conventional horse ranches though, as we breed our horses with a special purpose in mind, and our rescued horses, are given a second chance in life and given the opportunity to hold some very special positions.
Both our breeding and rescue programs aid us in helping at risk youth and thier families.
Something we have worked towards and have been doing since 1990.
We Relocated to South Dakota in 1996, from the Majestic beauty of Northern California. There is a different kind of beauty here. It isn't the same "commanding" and "Powerful" presence you feel from the majestic mountain ranges of the Western part of the country, or the crashing of the oceans waves meeting the sand on a coastal shore.
Its more of a "haunting" type of beauty, almost quiet, yet it can cause you to catch your breath just the same. From the energy , color & fury of a Mid Summer's Storm, the sparkle of a dew on a still crispt fall morning, the pure white of new fallen snow or the blanket of stars that fill the sky. You can learn to see, & "feel" life here, In a way that is difficult to find in most other places. Miles of nothing but you the land and the sky. "life" in it's most natural and purest form.
